Our production task for Assignment 2 involves coming up with our own film promotion for an original movie that we have created.

*Note: this CANNOT be a Science Fiction film due to clashes with the exam topic

Title and tagline:

Action, Thriller.

A girl who is walking down  the street and is locked up in a room and finds out that she is the only one left who can make changes to the world and make the world the same but better.

Narrative structure – what happens in the film and in what order (max 100 words):

In this film the heroine, Zaynab Naveed, is walking done the road and two men approach her and kidnap her. When she becomes concious, she finds herself in a small room which was pitch black and only has one window. The window was loose and she had loosened it more and then overheard the people conversation. The people had said that she has been chosen to be an under cover spy and she is the only one that could save the world from being destroyed.

The costume has to be quite old, ripped, rough and has to be look like you have been wearing it since days.

The target audience for this film is aged 13+.
The gender is 50% male and 50% female.
The social class will be a medium class so not high and not low as it is not going to be a made as a high budget movie, it is going to be a life as a teenage girl who is not that rich and not that poor.

Assignment 2: Film Case Study

The film I have chosen is::: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is a heartfelt and sincere adaptation that's bolstered by strong lead performances. 

I chose this film because I think that I can talk about it and it is an unique movie from the list as it is Romantic Comedy and Drama.

The ratings the film has got out of 10 is; 8.5/ 85%.

The distributor of the film the perks of being a wallflower in the UK is: Summit Entertainment.

The genre of the film is; Romantic Comedy and Drama. I can tell that it fits into this genre as by looking at the trailer, I can tell that it's romantic comedy as there is a young teenage couple. I can also tell that the genre of the film is Drama as the casts are a teenage girl and two teenage boys from this I can refer that there will be conflict between the two boys over that girl and if there is conflict it would kind of go into to the genre of Drama.

In this film the Director; Stephan Chbosky, this director is known for being an American Novelist, screenwriter, and film director best known for writing the New York times best selling coming-of-age novel; the perks of being a wallflower. 

Also the main actress in this film is; Emma Watson she is a British Actress, model and activist. She is also famous because she was in the movies of Harry Potter. 

The UK release date of the perks of being a Wallflower is 3 October 2012.

People have said 'by watching this movie it has changed my life, and I have got to know who my real people are also other people have said that this movie is a great success and I would recommend everyone to watch it.

1)  This film is; Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.
Genre:
Thriller/horror.
Narrative:
The story line of this film is that this family moves in a new house which seems to be haunted so they put cameras around the house and they eventually find out that the house is actually haunted and that their daughter has a ghost telling her to do stuff which makes their daughter lost and gone towards the ghost.
Character:
The characters in this movie are a mother a father and a daughter. The main hero is the dad which is 'strong and powerfull' the mother tries to protect her daughter but is also scared which makes her 'strong but frightened' and the daughter is lost and is not in this world anymore is 'possessed and confused.'
Iconography:
In this film there are loads of horror/thriller iconography as there are images of ghost running and chasing the normal people and there is iconography when there are all in a room which gives thrills.
Setting:
This film is set in a house which has seemed to be haunted for a long time and after something had happened in the past no one has dared to look at this house but this family decided to live in it without knowing the background story of the house and why no one was talking to them after they moved in. This film is in USA/Hollywood I think.

2)  This film is: Expelled,
Genre:
The genre of this film is Romantic Comedy and Drama.
Narrative:
The story line of this movie is that the character gets expelled from school and does everything for his parents not to know and then he meets a girl and starts to catch feelings for her. Then his parents find out and he gets grounded but eventually gets let off.
Character:
The character in this film is : The main one Cameron Dallas this character is the teenager that gets expelled. The teenager girl is a pizza woman who is supposed to be loved by the expelled student as it has a Romantic Comedy Genre.
Iconography:
There is plenty of Romantic Comedy; e.g. playing tricks and kissing. All of these are typical Romantic Comedy actions that most films that are comedy we can confidently say that its a romantic comedy film.
Setting:
Although this is a 2 minute trailer I can tell that this is set in a school in USA and his house also local parks which is near his house.

Narrative:
From this 2 minute trailer I can tell that this story line is that there is a male who has to save the world that evil people want to destroy. This is a good vs bad narrative and obviously we would know that the good would always win. 
Character:
The characters in this film is the main character; James Bond who is the good person who as an intention to save the world a it is his duty to try his best and do whatever it takes to save the world and people. Another character is The evil one who is the total opposite of the good one as this bad character wants to destroy the earth, wants to destroy specific people especially James Bond who is the good character.
Iconography:
There is a variety of typical action. Actions in the film is; Car chasing, Gun shots and also People running after other people and jumping of bridges, a connection of the narrative of this film we can tell that this film definitely has something to do with action.
Setting: 
This takes place in Hollywood and garages as they need to make it look realistic. This takes place in alleyways as the scene needs to go with the setting. 

Magazine Cover Page Analysis

Camera Work.

 This is the first picture to analyse. This is a Medium Close up I can tell this because all of the characters in the picture its only showing their shoulder and above and the background so the people standing behind them. This is kind of a low angle because it makes them look big and powerful so it makes us realise that these 'bad characters' are after the good hero 'Tum Cruise'. I think they chose to do this shot as the director is trying to make us know that there is so many of them and their is only Tum Cruise so that there is a threat to him as he is only one and there is a group of people after him.



This second picture is a long shot as it is showing Tum Cruise running and it shows us the car and the background also other objects laying around the place and shows buildings, at the background. The long shot allows us to establish his location of what kind of place of he is running through or where he is going to stay. They might have chosen a long shot for this part as it allows lot of action and dramatic scenery to pass through our mind.This is a low angle photograph as the car looks big in it, the car makes it look like Tum Cruise is small and vulnerable and that the car is just there being useless.

This last photograph is a MCU a medium close up. This is a mcu as it is showing Tum Cruise's shoulder and above and it also shows us the background so like I can tell that Tum Cruise is now in some sort of alleyway or some sort of old place where there is a lot of garbage. This is also I think a high angle shot as he is the focus of the shot. Tum Cruise is supposed to be the person to look at to focus on that's why they have used a high angle shot as they want us just to look at Tum Cruise. They also might be wanting to be playing mind games and make us as the audience want us to be curious what he may do.

Summer Holiday Project

The sub genre of this science fiction film is to do with super-hero's and to do with special powers like fighting and relevant stuff to power.
A brief summary of this film is that the main character, is forced out of his company and then decide to be a super-hero which is trained by a professional trainer then he has the suits that gives him the power to shrink anywhere at anytime and gives him the ability to do anything while being he size of an ant.
The characters are linked to the film as they are made small which is to do with I think science fiction as it has to do with affects to make them as small as an ant.
The theme is invasion and I think aliens also dystopia.

The production company of this film is Marvel and the director of this film is Peyton Reed.
The main characters of this film are; Paul Rudd, Edgar Wright, Adam Mckay and Joe Cornish.
This film was released recently in July 2015.
The production company is owned by Kevin Feige.
As I said before the production company is Marvel and is very famous and the film that Marvel makes the most is to do with superhero's and a genre like that, one movie as an example they had made is Avengers they have made more I just gave this one as an example.
The film spent  56.4 million dollars to make this film ant-man and they have 58 million dollars.

I think the target audience would be 15-35. I also think that it would be 60% male and 40% female I think this because in my point of view I think that males are more into films like this than females because males love the films that have action in it and most girls do not like it they only like calm films with no loud noises, no flashing light, and no fighting and stuff like that.

Colour palettes

This is me and Sanaa's work from Photoshop! 

This work is from the fruit template which we needed to fill in with colour, so me and Sanaa choose out of the different options on the board of the colour palettes, we chose the winter palette.

As you can see theirs a variety of different shades of blue as in the winter picture their is blue!

A WWW for our fruit template is: That we put pictures behind the fruit bowl to make it more detail and eye catching. We had also used different colours from the chosen picture on the top right.

EBI: to have made it more fascinating by using some pictures on the fruit as we did to the background.
